Taubmans relaunches campaign to support disaster affected communities

Taubmans has once again partnered with not-for-profit organization Givit to raise money in support of Australian communities affected by bushfire, drought, and flood.

Originally launched in 2020, the In it Together campaign raised $155,000, surpassing its initial goal of $120,000.

“The incredible donation was used to purchase essential items and services needed by people and communities doing it tough, from parched outback farms in Mungindi to bushfire-affected communities in East Gippsland,” said Givit CEO Sarah Tennant. “We bought items locally, wherever possible, to help stimulate the recovery of local economies.”

The 2021 campaign has upped the ante with a fundraising goal of $180,000. The money will be collected through sales of selected Taubmans four-litre paints from Bunnings, Britol, Taubmans and other participating independent stockists from 1 March to 30 April. A portion of the sales will contribute towards the donation.

“Taubmans paint has been part of the Australian fabric for over 100 years; it’s in our brand DNA to help our communities through good times and difficult times,” said Anne Neeson, general manager, architectural coatings ANZ at PPG, which manufactures Taubmans. “We’re proud of our partnership with GIVIT and all that we’ve achieved together so far for communities recovering from disaster. This year, we know the need is no less and we’re here to help.”
