ComplexCon arrives in Los Angeles on October 3–4, 2026, marking its tenth anniversary with a programme spread across the Los Angeles Convention Center and Crypto.com Arena. Playboi Carti and Hiroshi Fujiwara of Fragment Design are serving as artistic directors, bringing music and design into the event’s broader creative direction.
The Convention Center hosts the marketplace and exhibition programme, while the arena is the venue for the headline concerts. Ken Carson is scheduled to headline Saturday, joined by HXG and ApolloRed1. Playboi Carti closes Sunday, with Destroy Lonely and F1lthy also on the programme.
The organisers have announced more than 300 participating brands, alongside artist-led environments, live conversations, vintage programming through ThriftCon and the Family Style Food Festival. The creative work crosses those different formats, giving visitors several ways into the weekend.
A festival of this kind can be approached as a collection of products, but its temporary spaces deserve attention too. A booth or artist environment has to establish a visual identity within a busy room. The design is experienced through people moving, gathering and stopping, making the installation part of how a community meets in person.
The involvement of a musician and a designer in artistic direction also offers a useful thread to follow. Music reaches beyond the concert stage through visual worlds, while design acquires meaning through the scenes that adopt it. This weekend brings those relationships into physical spaces where the audience can encounter several parts of the same culture together.
The two venues need to be kept distinct when planning a visit. The Convention Center listing gives public hours of 11am to 7pm on both days. Concert access and timings should be checked against the chosen ticket rather than assumed to be included in every marketplace pass.
The official ComplexCon website carries the latest programme and ticket details. The Convention Center is at 1201 South Figueroa Street, with Crypto.com Arena at 1111 South Figueroa Street. The weekend is an opportunity to look at how street-rooted music, image-making and design come together at the scale of a temporary cultural gathering.
