Haymes Paint launches Origins Colour Library for 2024

Colours that evoke security, comfort and belonging will be the hottest hues in 2024, according to Haymes Paint’s latest expert colour forecast.

The Australian paint manufacturer has unveiled its Colour Library Vol. 17, with the latest edition called Origins. The release was curated in collaboration with multi-disciplinary design studio Nexus Designs, home décor and furnishings brand Adairs, as well as design duo Josh and Matt.

Six different colour palettes have been developed as part of the library: New Narratives, Heritage Hues, New Terrain, Retro Mash Up, Solid Ground, and Strong Haven.

Interior design specialist at Haymes Paints Erin Hearns said the company is thrilled to launch its 17th Colour Library, following the success of their 2023 library.

“At Haymes Paint we understand the world around us constantly evolves, and there’s a growing need for sanctuary in every space we occupy. The Origins collection aims to provide that refuge, grounding us with a return to timeless essentials while infusing contemporary trends,” she said.

To mark the release of Origins, Haymes Paint will host a panel event in October that will explore the scientific basis of the forecast, as well as touch on trends and inspirations. The panel, comprising collaborators and creators of the collection, will provide insight on how to integrate the collection into residential and commercial spaces. Panellists will undertake an in-depth discussion into the intricacies of how colour, tone, and texture influence not only the look and feel of an environment, but also the mood and intention for people in the space.
