Internationally praised street artist ROA just finished his new masterpiece on the façade of the GUM (Ghent University Museum). The brand-new science museum now acts as a canvas for a magnificent pile of skeletons, including that of an elephant, a rhinoceros, a grizzly bear and an okapi. In this piece of art, ROA once again demonstrates his love for animal anatomy, which is a regularly reoccurring theme in his work.
Muralist Roa’s true obsession for animals is unparalleled and he uses this obsession to paint for inspiration. Roa uses native animals based on the location he is painting in. Roa’s work has been turning heads across the street art community by bringing birds, rodents, and other animals back into its consciousness.
This project was done in collaboration with the great people from Wallin‘ and was done for the second part of the opening of Ghent University Museum.
