A development application has been submitted for the expansion of Castle Towers, a shopping centre in Sydney’s north-west.
The project will create a mixed-use precinct, dubbed “The Village,” with a three-storey retail space, a new hotel designed by Woods Bagot with more than 200 rooms, and 12-storey office tower designed by BVN that will accommodate more than 2,000 workers.
The project is set to catalyse the long-term transformation of the shopping centre.
“Our long-term masterplan for Castle Towers responds to this need and looks to seamlessly integrate additional sustainability-led developments over coming years that will become exemplars of urban living and design,” said Matthew James, investment general manager for developer QIC.
“This is a bold new chapter for Castle Hill, which will deliver exciting new ways to live, work and play; drawing new audiences and delivering inspiration for future generations,” James said.
The development will also include a “CBD-style” dining precinct as well as a live music venue, a rooftop garden, and greenery-filled public spaces.
