Olimpia Splendid has launched the Unico Pro, a new wall-mounted air conditioner with no external compressor unit.
The Unico Pro can be installed at floor or ceiling level, in the middle of the wall or in the corner of the room, providing ultimate flexibility. The absence of an outdoor unit also removes some of the aesthetic and practical challenges that affect the positioning of outdoor compressors on some properties.
Olimpia Splendid’s marketing and product development manager Peter Burnham says the Unico Pro is designed to challenge convention and provide a refreshing alternative for architects and designers.
“We have worked closely with the team in Italy to provide an air conditioner that aims to preserve, complement and respect architectural designs with non-intrusive fixtures. Air conditioners often dominate a room when they need to be positioned high on a wall and unsightly outdoor compressors can impact the exterior design. The Unico Pro eliminates both problems and its quality design fits all styles of home,” Burnham said.
The Unico Pro’s design has been created by Milan studio, Matteo Thun and Partners. The product has won several design awards across the globe.
