Meet the jury: 2024 ArchitectureAU Award for Social Impact

The jury for the 2024 ArchitectureAU Award for Social Impact has been revealed. The program honours projects that are public-spirited, prioritize empathy over aesthetics, and have made valuable societal contributions.

The 2024 jury includes David Fisher of Housing Choices Australia, Maryam Gusheh of Monash University, Kieran Wong of the Fulcrum Agency, Linda Cheng, of Architecture Media and Greens MP Elizabeth Watson-Brown. The jury convener will be Rory Hyde of the Melbourne School of Design, University of Melbourne.

“This program awards practice that is grounded in people’s needs, highlights design moves that make measurable positive impacts on real people’s lives, and showcases architecture’s capacity to address critically important challenges,” said Linda Cheng, editor of ArchitectureAU and 2024 jury chair.
