    “Cannot” by Biancoshock in Lodi, Italy

    Biancoshock recently worked on a new project in Lodi, Italy. Entitled “Cannot”, this installation is a part of the artist’s ‘Nice To Meet You’ Series.Biancoshock uses elements that are easily recognizable as belonging to Western pop culture. His works can be presented as performances in which he is the protagonist of interventions on the street and in which passers-by actively participate, but also as interventions carried out directly on elements of street furniture. Soft toys, puppets, games, famous brands, objects that make up the home furnishings and everyday life are decontextualized and thanks to this conceptual and linguistic operation become other, coming to convey a message to the user through irony and provocation.His artistic project began in 2004 after a previous ten-year experience in the Graffiti world. This background spontaneously led him to live the city as a stage for his artistic actions.From the beginning, the artist expresses himself mainly through independent urban installations, different from each other in terms of technique, materials and subjects, but united by the same intent: to offer a starting point for reflection – sometimes ironically, other times provocatively – to the passer-by, trying to emotionally disturb his daily routine.Check out below for more photos of “Cannot”.       “Heavy Meal” Series by Biancoshock in Milan, Italy

      Biancoshock is back with a new series of artwork in Milan. The artist’s installations “Heavy Meal” are painted concrete backpacks that criticize the work of food delivery riders and their daily effort.“In a democratic society, job is a basic tool for civil and economic progress.       “Google Car” by Biancoshock in Corsica

      Italian artist Biancoshock is back with a new site specific sculpture for Popularte Festival – Corsica. The sculpture features the artist’s rendition of a Google maps car.Time flows and each place requires a different speed. In the cities everything must be updated in real time, in the small villages nothing changes so quickly. Google Cars are the examples of the need to be always updated, informed and reachable. They continuously map the cities, while rarely passing through small towns.Biancoshock, during a festival in the mountains of Corsica, noted on Google Maps that the Google Car passed once in that village in 2009 and then never again. On the hood of the abandoned Google Car there is a local map that helps visitors orientate themselves in the mountains (even if the sculpture has been placed out of the maps…)From the beginning, Biancoshock expresses himself mainly through independent urban installations, different from each other in terms of technique, materials and subjects, but united by the same intent: to offer a starting point for reflection – sometimes ironically, other times provocatively – to the passer-by, trying to emotionally disturb his daily routine.Check out below to view more photos of the installation.       “UNTOLD” by Biancoshock in Ravenna, Italy

      Italian public artist Biancoshock recently worked on a new wall in Quartiere Darsena, Ravenna in collaboration with Subsidenze Festival 2020. The mural is entiled “UNTOLD” and it features a crossword puzzle.

      Looking at the crossword puzzle you can see that the black boxes form the word UNTOLD. This word evokes all the untold stories of those who traveled and struggled to get here and live in that popular neighborhood.

      The words in the crossword puzzle belong to 29 different languages and most of them are related to the social inclusion and immigration issues. Two panels fixed to the wall show all the definitions written in the same language as the word to be guessed.

      Biancoshock’s  artistic projects began in 2004 after a previous ten-year experience in the Graffiti world. This background spontaneously led him to live the city as a stage for his artistic actions.
