Beegarden – The newest art work by Tellas in Turin X Street Alps festival

The productive collaboration between Sardinian artist Tellas and the international festival of urban art Street Alps, the first in Italy to create murals in a mountain context, continues and this time for a metropolitan and unusual project which inaugurates the seventh edition of the festival.

Beegarden is the title of the work that Tellas painted at the brand new and fresh HUB community in Turin: Beeozanam. This industrial building, built between 1938 and 1941 and forgotten for years, has undergone and the recent artistic restyling has given a new face to the neighborhood.

The long mural covers most of the surface of the Beeozanam external courtyard and it is a collection of numerous botanical varieties; it’s a tribute to the place that houses an urban vegetable garden, a flat roof garden and a metropolitan apiary. And obviously it follows the style of the artist, now famous all over the world thanks to his  personal and intimate vision of the natural elements defining the landscape around him. Each piece of his work is the result of a meditative process combining spatial qualities, shapes and species of the surrounding environment. He expresses his style through various means.

Simultaneously with the realization of the wall, our friends from Missiontoart made a three limited edition prints he named Giardino Condiviso (Shared Garden). The idea for this print started floating around on social networks months ago, when Tellas asked to his followers to name their favorite plant. The initiative sparked a lot of interest and so, under lockdown, he collected the comments and was inspired to draw three panels which we developed into fine art prints.
