Hiring the next generation of architects

What are the biggest challenges when recruiting recent graduates of architecture school? Are students well-prepared for BIM workflows and integrated design? What does the ideal job candidate look like? Creativity or software skills? Engineering or digital mindset? These are some of the questions that Graphisoft asks in its Global Recruitment Survey – Hiring the Next Generation of Architects.

Architectural practices face challenges when it comes to hiring new talent. Too often, firms struggle with bridging the gap between attracting quality candidates and getting them up and running as contributing employees. But what is it that employers, architectural practices, are looking for? Are employers looking for talent based on software knowledge? Is there really a demand for BIM and software knowledge or are architectural practices more interested in the portfolio?

As one of the leading BIM software developers in the world, Graphisoft’s goal is to help firms find outstanding talent, and for students and recent graduates to find their ideal place to work. The questions asked in the survey will contribute to a global research project, the results of which will be shared at Graphisoft’s Building Together Digital Event, taking place September 14–16.

Graphisoft and Central Innovation would appreciate it if you could share your opinion. Filling out the survey takes about five minutes.
