2022 Architeam Awards entries open

Available to any member practice with no more than ten full-time staff, the 2022 Architeam Awards are now open for entries as of 25 July, celebrating the best of Australia’s small, medium and emerging practices that might otherwise be overlooked in larger awards programs.

The awards recognize Architeam members’ contribution to the Australian design community in a public forum, as well as create an opportunity to showcase cutting edge designs by smaller Australian practices to the larger design community and general public.

“The Architeam Awards are geared towards supporting emerging, small and medium practices that may be overlooked in larger award programs; often, however, it is at the grassroots level that we find real change and innovation,” a spokesperson for Architeam said.

Previous winners have been architects from prominent small and emerging Australian practices and have included projects like the Victorian Pride Centre.

Categories include awards for new residential (for projects above and below $1 million); residential alterations and additions (for up to $500,000, between $500,000 and $1 million, and over $1 million); commercial, community and public; unbuilt works, innovation and contribution; and sponsored awards.

All entries must be submitted online and cannot be submitted for projects older than three years. The awards program is only open to Architeam members, and membership can be found on the Architeam website.

Entries close Monday 19 September and the winners will be announced on Friday 18 November. Click here to enter.
