2024 Houses Awards open for submissions

Project entries are now able to be submitted for the 2024 Houses Awards, a residential architecture awards program that celebrates and rewards the creation and understanding of not just beautiful spaces, but functional and liveable Australian homes.

Awards categories include: Australian House of the Year; New House under 200 m²; New House over 200 m²; House Alteration and Addition under 200 m²; House Alteration and Addition over 200 m²; Apartment or Unit; Garden or Landscape; Sustainability; House in a Heritage Context, and Emerging Architecture Practice.

The 2024 jury comprises Sophie Bence of Bence Mulcahy, Adam Haddow of SJB, Marika Neustupny of NMBW Architecture Studio, Lachlan Nielsen of Nielsen Jenkins, and Alexa Kempton, editor of Houses magazine.

Sunday by Architecture Architecture was awarded the 2023 House Alteration and Addition under 200 m2 award.

The 2023 Houses Awards program saw homes of exceptional quality being honoured, including Merricks Farmhouse by Michael Lumby with Nielsen Jenkins, Sunday by Architecture Architecture, and Blok Stafford Heights by Blok Modular with Vokes and Peters.

Houses Awards are organized by Architecture Media, supported by Cult, Artedomus, Blum, Brickworks, James Hardie, Sussex, The Heritage Council of Victoria, and Latitude.
