Haymes Paint sees strong demand for metallic and textured paint finishes

Haymes Paint has revealed it has seen strong demand of its Artisan Collection paints in the lead up to and beginning of 2024. The popularity of the collection demonstrates a shift toward highly textured, industrial finishes.

Highly sought-after in 2023 was Artisan Collection Surface, with the emergence of a new ‘cut and polish’ finish that has a Venetian plaster look. The Artisan Collection Rendercoat also maintained its popularity, with its ability to serve up different finishes and textural effects.

Haymes Paint commercial relationship manager Jo Clarke predicted continued demand among specifiers and designers for unique finishes in 2024. She said Artisan Collection Surface in the cut and polish Venetian plaster look would continue to make waves with design-conscious consumers, while Scumble Wash and Artisan Collection Surface Bloom would be a popular alternative for homeowners looking for something softer and more subtle.

Clarke also tipped a big year for texture and metallics in commercial and retail spaces, with Artisan Collection Metal Trace Smooth expected to be coveted in 2024.

She revealed Haymes Paint has been working on extending the Metal Trace finish from silver, gold and bronze shades into reds and yellows, providing more possible varieties for those wanting to achieve a custom metallic finish.
